General Services Administration officials announced the agency is adding $7 billion to the funding ceiling of one of its small business information technology services contracts.

The ceiling for the 8(a) Streamlined Technology Application Resource for Services (STARS) II will now be $22 billion and will allow the 787 small businesses competing on the Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) to offer more services to agency clients.

The contracts serve as a set-aside for Small Business Administration 8(a)-certified small businesses to compete for task orders to supply federal agencies with IT services and solutions.
